Some questions you would rather not leave in anyone's history. Private chat is built for those.

Nothing saved

Switch the mode chip to Private chat and the conversation lives only on your screen. Dark Terminal does not store your messages or the answers. Leave the screen and it is gone. Only a message count is kept, for plan limits.

Open models

Private chat runs on Qwen 3.6, a family of open AI models from Alibaba, which answer clearly and to the point. The model is served through an inference provider, as with any cloud AI.

See how it thinks

Qwen models reason before they answer. Dark Terminal shows that reasoning in a folded "Thought it through" section above each reply. Open it to check the logic, or ignore it.
